A busy period for young umpires is coming up. We’ve got a chance to hone our skills on Feb 1st and then on Feb 22 (Hurst) and March 1st (Hurst and Eastbourne College) we have two of the season’s highlights where we can all get together and umpire 7AS – at the In2s County Champs and the participation festival, the Ron Easton. Thes count towards your County Umpiring badge.

Details are below. Please let me know your availability and preferred venue and time. I will be bringing umpiring shirts for those who require them.

Sunday Feb 1st – Junior Festival at the Triangle hosted by St Francis. Time 11 to 3pm approximately. U10s first followed by U12s. I will be there to mentor and it will be a super opportunity to see you all and help with progress.

We need – young umpires all levels including beginners, junior mentors (those holding the EH stage one qualification) and adult mentors. Note – if your club is hosting a tournament that day, do prioritise that.  Please let me know when you might be free.

Sunday Feb 8th – Hurst – L1 assessed young umpires opportunity to officiate a County match. Invite only – but do let me know if you hold this qualification and are keen.

Sunday February 22nd – The In2s at Hurst. All day event for U10s and U12s boys and girls. It  is a county competition with medals for the winning teams.

We need – young umpires all levels including beginners, junior mentors (those holding the EH stage one qualification) and adult mentors. With over 30 last year it was a great way to work together with a range of young umpires and mentors and feel fully supported – and brilliant fun!

Please let me know if you can do morning, afternoon or both.

Sunday March 1st – The Ron Easton at Hurst and Eastbourne Colleges. This is a split venue event –for U10s and U12s boys and girls that runs all day. It is a county participation event with medals for the winning teams.

We need – young umpires of all levels including beginners, junior mentors (those holding the EH stage one qualification) and adult mentors. With over 30 across the two venues last year it is an even greater challenge to have enough young umpires and mentors at each of the five pitches in operation. It is however a huge amount of fun and a great way to work together with a range of young umpires and mentors and feel fully supported.

Please let me know if you can do morning, afternoon or both.

Schedules for all will be released closer to the events and I will share once they are through.

Any other questions, don’t hesitate to ask
